It is important that SCEA continues to adapt and improve with the times and takes a more streamlined approach to our aims and objectives. I look forward to helping the team achieve these goals and shape the future of the organisation.

I am currently Vice Chair of the Sandwich-Honfleur Twinning Association and Chair of Le Weekend organising committee. Additionally I serve as both a Sandwich Town Councillor and Dover District Councillor alongside being Acting Chair of The Sandwich Society, Curfew Bell Ringer, and Sandwich Guildhall Museum Volunteer.
I am committed to working with other members of the SCEA committee in facilitating a more streamlined approach to events organisation in Sandwich with a particular focus on the utilisation of shared services (for example insurance, security services, and printing) to deliver cost savings.

He is 30 years young and a School Governor, charity trustee, secretary for the Friends of the Empire Cinema and heavily involved with SCEA, Sandwich Medieval Centre and Sandwich Folk & Ale Festival besides volunteering for the Christmas Lights, 50s weekend and many other enjoyable activities.
You can usually find Harry starting conversations with friends about new event ideas or getting too excited about the history of Sandwich.

I have been involved with the events in Sandwich for 7 years. As soon as my feet hit the floor I volunteered for the Folk & Ale, my hobby as a luthier keeps me in touch with local musicians. In 2018 I hand crafted an electric mandolin which we raffled and raised over £1,100. I really enjoy working with the events and meeting other musicians, from so many different styles and walks of life.
I’m a Musician myself so communicating with other musicians is second nature to me, we speak the same language, I’ve done my fair share of live work and sound engineering which has come in handy a few times at the festivals. I’m also the creator and Event organiser for the Sandwich 50s Festival, and have worked with Sandwich Salutes the Forties. In 2018 I created a talent search for the Folk & Ale which uncovered a wealth of local talent, many of the contestants have become regular performers at the events and in the local Pubs, I love discovering new acts.
I spent the best part of 20 years in the hospitality industry both as a business owner and musician and so I understand the complexities of running a licensed music venue, and the framework of law surrounding it. Over the years I have helped many young people discover music through The Bands Project and other Jams and Open Mic Sessions, some of whom have gone on to do great things in the music industry.
The pandemic has left a trail of destruction to businesses, and also to the festivals who have been hit by funding cuts, my aim is to forge a path to keeping the festivals and their music alive.

I have both organised and assisted in running our many festivals. retaining Sandwich Salutes that was created by Rotary and often up the ladder with bunting and lights. While providing great entertainment, the events generate a huge amount of work and income for many of our local businesses.
I am also a parish councillor in Woodnesborough, a town councillor for Sandwich and have previous experience as a school governor, amateur theatrics and work, mostly IT and ranging through the Oil, Atomic and Renewable industries.

He grew up in Ramsgate and moved to Sandwich in 2017. He became a town councillor in 2022, and is currently Deputy Mayor. He believes Sandwich is blessed with a great community spirit and that the events are a key part of the town's vitality.

As a musician and someone who has worked in hospitality for over twenty years, I bring both creativity and practical experience to my involvement with SCEA. I understand how much planning, teamwork, and attention to detail go into running successful events, and I’m always happy to contribute in any way that helps things go smoothly.
Alongside my work with SCEA, I also volunteer at St Peter’s Church Book Shop, where I help sort and organise donated books. It’s a lovely place to spend time and meet others who care about supporting local causes. I also help out at St Mary’s Arts Centre, assisting with the wide range of events and activities that take place there throughout the year.
I really enjoy being part of the Sandwich community and doing my bit to keep it lively and welcoming. Volunteering and helping with local events is rewarding and fun, and I look forward to continuing to play a small part in everything that makes Sandwich such a special place to live.
